Effective: To confirm: public launch date

  • Try everything free for 3 days. You add your card first, but you're not charged if you cancel before the trial ends.
  • After the trial, membership is A$19.99 AUD a month until you cancel. The first 50 paying members pay A$14.99 AUD a month.
  • You can cancel any time. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
  • Our tools and estimates are for planning and learning. They aren't financial, legal or tax advice.
  • Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and other consumer laws always apply.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and us. Evolve Business Starter Kit is provided by Charlene Denise King, a sole trader trading as Evolve Business Co (ABN 96 334 942 811), based in Australia (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the Evolve Business Starter Kit, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

2. What the service is

The Evolve Business Starter Kit is an online planning tool for people starting a business. It includes a library of business ideas and a discovery quiz, a workspace for ideas, business plans and next steps, a planning calendar, a guided 30-day journey and weekly check-ins.

3. Information, not professional advice

  • Business ideas, start-up cost ranges, typical prices and earning potential are general examples. Figures are illustrative only. Actual costs, revenue and profit will vary.
  • Country-specific registration, tax and legal tips are general information. Rules change and depend on your situation, so check with the relevant government agency or a qualified adviser before acting.
  • Nothing in the app is financial, legal, tax or accounting advice, and we don't promise any business result or income.
  • Currency conversions use published reference exchange rates and are approximate.

4. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 and give accurate information when you sign up.
  • Each account is for one person. Keep your password secure and don't share your account.
  • You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
  • You can delete your account at any time from your Account page. Deleting your account cancels any membership immediately, as explained in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Free trial

  • New members get a 3-day free trial with full access.
  • You need to add a payment card before the trial starts. Nothing is charged during the trial.
  • If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your membership starts automatically and your first monthly payment is taken when the trial ends.
  • If you cancel during the trial, you won't be charged and you keep access until the trial ends.
  • Each person can have only one free trial. If you've had a trial or membership before, rejoining starts a paid membership straight away.

6. Membership, prices and billing

  • The regular membership price is A$19.99 AUD per month.
  • Prices are set in Australian dollars. For Australian customers, prices include GST. For customers in other countries, any tax is worked out at checkout based on your location.
  • Checkout may show the price in your local currency. Your bank or card provider may charge conversion or international fees.
  • Your membership renews automatically every month on your billing date until you cancel. You authorise each monthly charge to your payment method.
  • If we change the regular price, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to your membership, or longer if the law requires. You can cancel before then if you don't want to continue.

7. Founding Member offer

  • The first 50 eligible paying members get the Founding Member price of A$14.99 AUD per month, instead of the regular price.
  • The offer is applied automatically at checkout while places remain. No code is needed. The membership page shows how many places are left.
  • When you open checkout, a place is reserved for you for 30 minutes. If you finish checkout and start a free trial, the place is held for you during the trial.
  • Your place becomes permanently yours once your first payment succeeds.
  • If your trial ends without a successful payment, for example because you cancelled or your card was declined, your place is released for someone else.
  • You keep the Founding Member price for as long as your membership stays continuously active. This includes while a failed payment is being retried.
  • If your membership ends, you lose the Founding Member price. If you rejoin later, you'll pay the regular price. A used place isn't given to anyone else and can't be reinstated.
  • Places are limited to one per person and can't be transferred. Test accounts and accounts we use internally don't count toward the 50 places.
  • We may refuse or remove the offer if it's misused, for example through multiple accounts.

To confirm: whether the Founding Member price can change if tax law changes, for example a change in the GST rate, as part of legal review.

8. Payments through Stripe and Link

  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Membership payments are sold through Link, a Stripe service that acts as the seller for the payment transaction. Checkout shows this as “Sold through Link”.
  • When you pay, you also agree to Link's terms, which are shown at checkout.
  • Link sends your receipts and invoices, collects any applicable tax, and handles payment-related questions, refunds and disputes. We provide the app and help with any questions about how it works.
  • Your bank statement will show “LINK.COM*” followed by our business name.
  • We never see or store your full card details.

To confirm: this description of Link's role against Stripe's final terms for your account, as part of legal review.

9. Failed payments

  • If a payment fails, Stripe tries again automatically over the following days.
  • You keep access for 3 days after a failed payment. You can update your card from Account → Billing & payment details.
  • After that, access is paused until the payment succeeds.
  • If the payment still can't be collected after Stripe's final retry, your membership ends.

10. Cancelling and rejoining

You can cancel at any time from your Account page. Cancelling stops future payments, and you keep access until the end of your current trial or paid month. You can resume before then to keep your membership and price. After your membership ends, your saved work stays in your account and you can rejoin at the current regular price. Full details are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

11. Your content

You own the ideas, notes, plans and other content you save. You give us permission to store, process and show it to you only so we can run the service. Your content is private to your account, and we don't publish it or share it except as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Using the service fairly

Please don't:

  • break the law, or use the service to harm others
  • try to access other people's accounts or data, or interfere with the app's security or operation
  • copy, resell or republish our ideas library, journey or other content for commercial use

We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Where it's fair to do so, we'll warn you first.

13. Our content and the service

The app, ideas library, 30-day journey, design and other materials belong to us. You may use them for your own business planning. We're always improving the service, so features may change. We aim to keep it available at all times, but there may be occasional interruptions for maintenance or reasons outside our control.

14. Your consumer rights

Our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For a major failure with the service, you're entitled to cancel your contract with us and get a refund for the unused portion, or compensation for its reduced value. You're also entitled to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If a failure doesn't amount to a major failure, you're entitled to have it fixed within a reasonable time. If that doesn't happen, you can cancel and get a refund for the unused portion.

If you live outside Australia, you may also have rights under the consumer laws of your country. These include the UK, the European Union and New Zealand, among others. Nothing in these terms limits any right that the law says can't be limited.

15. Limits on our responsibility

This section is subject to your consumer rights above. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for business decisions you make using the app, for any loss of profit, revenue or business opportunity, or for indirect loss. Where the law allows us to limit our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee, we limit it to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

To confirm: the limitation of liability wording, as part of legal review.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel before the change applies.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. If you're a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and you can bring a claim where you live.
